About Accept Care

A not-for-profit built to put the people we support first.

We actively put the people we support first.

Accept Care is a not-for-profit organisation supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental-health needs and acquired brain injuries to live well in their own homes across County Durham and the wider North East.

Our approach is supported living, not residential care. That means a person keeps their own front door and their own routines, and we shape the right level of support around the life they want — building skills, confidence and community along the way.

That conviction runs right through the organisation: it was founded by people who spent their careers moving the North East away from long-stay institutions and toward genuinely person-centred support. Working together to empower people and positively change lives.

The people behind Accept Care

Forty years of getting this right — and a team that won’t settle for less.

Quality will be determined by the satisfaction of the people we support.
